Two more people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder as investigations continue into an incident in Carlisle.
Detectives have also issued a fresh appeal for anyone with information or dashcam footage of the at St Ninians Road part of the city to come forward as inquiries continue after two men were injured.
The two latest arrests – two men, both 25, from Carlisle – were made in the early hours today.
They remain in custody today.
Three other people were earlier arrested as part of the inquiry.
A man, 27, and a woman, also 27, have now been bailed.
Another man, 26, was released under investigation.
Police were called at 11.36pm on Sunday to the report that two men, aged 31 and 27, had been injured.
The 31-year-old man suffered stab wounds. He remains in a stable condition in hospital.
The 27-year-old suffered serious injuries not believed to be life-changing.
He is in a stable condition in hospital.
Officers are appealing for anyone who saw anything that might be relevant in the St Ninians Road area, particularly where the road meets the bridge area, between 9.30pm and 11.30pm on Sunday to come forward.
Detectives are also asking anyone who may have dashcam footage of this area at this time to check it and get in touch.
