Fire crews in Carlisle were called out twice on Friday to rescue people who had got into difficulty in the water in separate incidents.
Crews were called at 3.30pm to Brampton Road to rescue a casualty and at 7pm, two fire engines attended an incident involving a person in the water at Rickerby Park.
The person was rescued from water by fire service personnel and crews were in attendance for about an hour.
