A man has been seriously injured following a one-vehicle collision on the M6 last night,
The southbound carriageway between Junctions 42 and 43, just outside Carlisle, were closed following the incident.
Emergency services were alerted at around 7.30pm and motorists were asked to avoid the area if possible,
The man was taken to hospital.
