Copeland mayor Mike Starkie is continuing with his series of videos to share information with the borough’s residents and businesses.
Mr Starkie is joined by council colleagues and partners for the short videos, which inform viewers about the help and support that is available to them as the Government’s roadmap continues.
Mr Starkie published a new video today in which he was joined by colleagues in tourism and business support to outline the council’s services that are available to them in advance of further reopening of the sectors next week.
Also covered are the reopening plans at The Beacon Museum.
Further videos will be released this week; one on business grants and Test and Trace payments, and a second on the development and improvements at Whitehaven Harbour.
Mr Starkie said: “Since the start of this pandemic, we have used the range of communication methods available to us to get accurate and timely information and advice to our residents when they need it most, including newsletters, media releases, social media and our website.
“This series of video podcasts that I have held regularly since the start of the pandemic is another example of our commitment to keeping our residents and businesses fully informed and engaged.
“I know that viewers are finding them extremely useful because our community gets to hear from our officers and partners who are involved on the ground every day.
“Often their great work goes unseen but it’s never more important for our community to know about the outstanding work that is going on at Copeland Council and partners, and how they can access this support if they need it.”
