Motorists are warned to avoid the Ambleside/Grasmere area as a burst water pipe is causing long delays.
The pipe has burst on Red Bank.
North West Water and highways teams are currently on the scene trying to fix the issue.
Cumbria police said they were advising motorists to use another route or avoid the area if possible.
