A person was taken to hospital following a collision on the M6 at Carlisle involving a lorry and a car.
Four fire engines attended the incident, on the southbound carriageway at around 6.45pm and one of the casualties had to be cut out of their vehicle by firefighters.
Crews were in attendance for an hour and 40 minutes.
