A new outdoor mural is the latest addition to a Kendal street.
It has been created on the side of a building on Cross Lane, next to the Cross Lane Projects gallery and is composed of large circular forms on a geometric backdrop.
The artist behind the work is Manchester-based artist Alex Giles, who is best known for his bold, multi-coloured vibrant paintings.
The project is the brainchild of the gallery director Rebecca Scott, who commissioned the artist to create a piece of artwork creating colour outside the former Kendal Mint Cake factory and bring art for all into the local community.
The aim of the mural is to guide passers-by to the independent gallery, the newest art venue for contemporary art in Kendal.
Its next exhibition opens on July 24 and is by Mark Woods. It runs until September 18.
