Carlisle Cricket Club is to host the county’s first-ever competitive floodlit cricket match.

Following last week’s washout, when the first team were due to entertain Cockermouth, the Carlisle CC General Committee decided that it would repeat the event for the remaining “17 Sport”  home T20 game on July 9.

Carlisle and Workington will go head to head at Edenside at 6.30pm, with the club bars opening at 5pm. This will incorporate coloured clothing, white ball cricket under floodlights in a competitive T20 league game.

A full evening of family entertainment will also be on offer near the clubhouse, where Carlisle Castles will be set up, before a night of music from local duo A Little Of Us kicks off at about 9.30pm.

External bars, a BBQ and Ian Milburn from IM Events make for a great evening for the family.
