The Cumbria Combine birds at Marlborough have been liberated at 11.45am with no relevant wind to help or hinder.
County fanciers are hoping for a good race with full returns after a disappointing liberation from Weymouth last week.
The Combine took the decision to race a day early when studying forecasts for Saturday which were poor with much rain about.
Cumbrian fanciers have already raced from Marlborough this season when Morris and Wayne McLuckie topped the West Cumbria Amalgamation.
They were flying 234 miles to Workington.
This time, following a later liberation and no clue as to what winds they will encounter, the birds are expected home around teatime.
