Maryport built on a close first-half lead to beat Hensingham A in their Holman Iggesund Cumberland ARL Division One clash.
They had a 10-4 advantage at the break but stretched that in the second half to finish 26-10 winners.
Luke Baker had scored the opening try on 18 minutes at the end of a hard fought opening quarter.
Ten minutes later Chris Ivison crossed for the second and Craig Foster converted.
Hensingham got themselves on the scoresheet a minute before the interval when Dane Richardson scored an unconverted try.
Two tries in the first ten minutes of the second half took the game completely away from the home side, however.
Andrew Pattinson went in a minute after the resumption, and Foster converted before Attley Skillen scored on 50 minutes.
Richardson did score a second try for Hensingham just after the hour and Josh Hiller converted but late on John Dollochin scored again for Maryport and Foster converted.
