Coronavirus cases in Cumbria continue to increase as we compile a list of the areas with the highest infection rates.

Coronavirus cases in Cumbria continue to increase as we compile a list of the areas with the highest infection rates.

New cases in the county have increased from 641 for the week ending June 23 to 1,067 seven days later.

This has seen the case rate per 100,000 rise from 128 cases to 213.14.

There were no deaths where coronavirus was mentioned on the death certificate in Cumbria in the latest figures, which are for the week ending June 18.

Below shows the number of new weekly cases accompanied with the rate per 100,000 in brackets for the week ending June 30:

Dalton South – 39 (701.9)

Raffles and Morton – 47 (478.2)

Kendal Town and Greenside – 37 (438)

Botcherby and Harraby – 40 (420.2)

Denton Holme and Harraby Green – 38 (399.9)

Swarthmoor and Low Furness – 30 (388.4)

Belle Vue and Burgh – 29 (386.3)

Carnforth, Silverdale and Warton – 37 (374.3)

Currock and Upperby – 23 (337.4)

Kirkby Stephen, Tebay and Brough – 25 (327.3)

Longtown and Border – 19 (321.3)

Central Carlisle – 25 (304.7)
