Emergency services are searching the River Eden in Carlisle for a teenage boy.
The multi-agency search operation is ongoing this morning following a report that a teenage boy entered the River Eden in Rickerby Park near Stony Holme.
Police received a report of concern for the welfare of the boy at around 9pm yesterday by North West Ambulance Service.
The North West Ambulance Service, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service and the Coastguard have also been deployed in the operation.
Officers are asking the public to avoid the area to allow police and partners conduct searches.
