Cumbria Chamber of Commerce will hold its first Women in Business in-person event later this month.

Walk and Talk Success Stories will be held on Friday July 30 at Melmerby Hall in Penrith between 2pm and 4pm.

Sponsored by Baines Wilson LLP, participants will walk around the hall’s grounds and hear from four successful businesswomen – Rachael Bagshaw, of Just-R, Elaine Southward, of HiDef surveying, and Joanne and Yasmine Hunter, of Grasmere Gingerbread.

It will be the chamber’s first in-person event in almost 18 months.

Eve Halliday, business growth manager at Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, said: “I’m delighted that we are able to get out and talk success stories in a beautiful part of the county. With the support of Baines Wilson LLP and the amazing women we have coming to share their stories – it’s sure to be a great day.

“A lovely, relaxed environment is just what’s needed for us to get back into the swing of networking, especially as many of us have spent a lot of time working from home and not having the chance to see or share ideas with other likeminded individuals.”

Joanne Holborn, partner and head of employment law and training at Baines Wilson LLP, said: “Baines Wilson LLP are excited to be working with the chamber to bring you the Women in Business events throughout this year and into 2022.

“We are especially looking forward to this next event as it is the first one in person we have been able to organise.

“It will be a lovely afternoon walking around the grounds of Melmerby Hall and hearing from three fantastic local businesses. It will be the a great opportunity to mix with the many great business women of Cumbria and celebrate success stories.”

This event is free to Cumbria Chamber of Commerce members, or £10 plus VAT for non-members. Places are limited due to COVID restrictions.

Places can be secured through the chamber website at www.cumbriachamber.co.uk/event/women-in-business-walk-and-talk-success-stories-friday-30th-july-melmerby-hall-penrith
