A cracking start to the new North One West season is guaranteed on September 4 with an eagerly-anticipated Cumbrian derby.
The fixtures have just been released and Carlisle will host Kendal in what should be a keenly contested county clash.
Carlisle, who have a friendly lined-up at Alnwick for Saturday, August 21, have only beaten Kendal once in their last five meetings.
Kendal also have a popular fixture first up at home the following week when they host near neighbours Vale of Lune.
Penrith, the third Cumbrian team contesting North One West, have a tough looking opening assignment when they travel to Stockport.
They have their first home game the following week against Douglas from the Isle of Man.
The Winters Park side will figure in the second county derby when they travel to Kendal on Saturday, September 25 with their home game against Carlisle on November 13.
