The Borderway Café at Harrison & Hetherington’s Mart needs your vote!
The independent business, established in 1974, welcomes tens of thousands of customers every year and has been shortlisted for Auction Café of the Year, as part of the Farmers Guardian’s Mart’s the Heart Awards 2021, and now the team are calling on their local farming community to show their support.
All meals are made on site and the team always try to have a local slant on their menu, using primarily local produce – with the Cumberland sausage being one of their best sellers.
Claire Boyd, catering manager said: “Our café is integral to the overall operating business of H&H and really is just a tremendous place to sit down and have a chat.
“It’s a place where everyone from any aspect of the business can discuss ideas and interact and we always ensure to offer the highest levels of service. On both sales and non-sales days, you are guaranteed a warm welcome by both the canteen team and the wider teams within all of the H&H companies.
“This is something which we believe is absolutely vital to the mental health of so many people, given that so many farmers and people in rural communities often work in such isolated locations and businesses.
“The team have gone above and beyond to get the café to where it is today, and we will be so grateful for all votes cast in recognition. We encourage anyone who uses or benefits from the café to show their support and share the campaign far and wide!”
