
Workington Town maintained their promotion push with a hard-earned 22-18 win at Keighley.
The Cougars had led 10-6 at half-time and Chris Thorman’s men had to dig deep to turn it round in the second-half.
Town had fallen behind on five minutes when Mo Agoro went in at the corner and Miller added a fine conversion.
The Cougars extended their lead after 18 minutes to complete a good opening quarter with Josh Slingsby getting in at the corner but this time Miller failed with the kick.
Town came back into it well and, needing to score before half-time, got it on 37 minutes when Joe Brown crossed out wide and Carl Forber added the conversion.
Two minutes after the re-start Miller kicked a penalty for Keighley to extend the lead but on 53 minutes Town were level. Hanley Dawson forced his way over and Forber converted.
Four minutes later Town were in front for the first time when Jake Moore chased a kick and was first there for the touchdown which went unconverted.
On 64 minutes Keighley were back in front. Again it was out wide, with Constantine Mika getting the ball down and Miller converted.
The winning try came on 73 minutes when strong Town pressure ended with Brad Holroyd going over under the sticks and Forber converted.
