Daisy and the stingray Picture: SWNS/Wendy Armstrong

A mum-of-two was left in hysterics after noticing a spooky resemblance between her daughter Daisy and an aquarium stingray.

Wendy Armstrong, a 41-year-old nurse from Workington, would regularly take her daughters Aurora, two, and six-month-old Daisy, for a day out at the Lake District Coast Aquarium.

During one visit. Wendy noticed that a stingray was taking a particular interest in Daisy and that both were pulling the same miserable facial expression.

Wendy was taken aback by the resemblance and took the opportunity to catch the bizarre moment on camera.

She told the Mirror: “It is definitely up there as one of our favourite pictures that we have of our kids. I had my phone out, and when I saw they were both pulling the same miserable facial expression I burst out laughing and took a photo.”
