A Carlisle man has appeared in court charged with raping a woman.
Dennis Brennan appeared before Carlisle’s magistrates’ court on August 16 charged with raping a woman over the age of 16 on June 20 last year.
Brennan, of Rosehill Drive, did not enter a plea.
The 26-year-old was granted unconditional bail ahead of his appearance before Carlisle Crown Court on September 20.
