Cumbrian motorsport rider Bradley Perie is still in contention after crashing in the British Championship.
Lincolnshire’s Cadwell Park has always been Perie’s nemesis with its challenging track and it came back to haunt him in Saturday’s sprint race of the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship.
Having taken a slim championship lead into this round Perie was in second place in the race when, with just two laps to go, he slid off in front of the chasing pack conceding his top-of-the-charts championship status.
Perie dusted himself down for Sunday’s feature race and after a hard-fought battle crossed the finish line in third place grabbing another podium place and vitally, adding points to his scorecard.
Now in second place of the overall championship, there are a mere three points between him and the current leader. With 10 rounds left to go, next up is Snetterton, Norfolk, in two weeks time.
