Barrow fans will be rooting for Doncaster today when they take on Workington Town at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Town go into the game at the top of League One but if they don’t win Barrow would take over again as leaders.
The Raiders played their part in beating London Skolars 38-24 yesterday at Craven Park but it wasn’t enough to put them back on top on percentage victories.
However that would change if Town failed to win as the battle for automatic promotion reaches the final stages with both clubs having two further games after this week-end.
In their latest contest Barrow seemed to be on course for a comfortable win as they racked-up a 28-0 lead but the Skolars fought back superbly and at 32-24 the Raiders, with 12 minutes left, had a game on their hands.
It took a 73rd minute try from Danny Morrow, created by Carl Forster and converted by Jamie Dallimore, to see them home.
The Raiders had built-up their comfortable lead by half-time with tries from Hakim Miloudi, Luke Cresswell, Dallimore, Dan Toal and Ryan Duffy, four of them converted by Dallimore. But the only other try, before Morrow’s late face-saver, came from Declan Hulme on 57 minutes.
The Skolars made them work hard in the end for the win as they got back into the contest by scoring four converted tries.
