Millom have agreed to switch their scheduled home fixture tomorrow to opponents Hindpool Tigers ground.

The Woollybacks have already lost there in the Cumbria Conference but are happy to go again after a special request from the Tigers.

Graham Shaw, a huge architect of the modern day Hindpool club and a giant of the amateur game in the south of the county, is ill.

Playing the game at Hindpool will allow him to watch and it’s a testament to his standing in the game that Millom readily agreed – even though they’ve already lost down there this season.

Millom have been hit by injuries this season, and haven’t won as many games as they had hoped, but coach Brad Crellin is already looking ahead to next season.

Crellin, a former pro with Whitehaven and Barrow, spoke with Cumbria Crack’s John Walsh about the season, how the club is set up for the future and about his own pro career. You can listen below:

There are only three games in the Cumbria Conference this week-end and the first is being played tonight when Ellenborough host Distington.

This has the potential of being a cracking contest with Distington fresh from their 43-26 win over Ellenborough’s town rivals Maryport last week.

Elbra had lost to Maryport a week earlier so Paul Gorge’s men will be particularly keen to prove the form-book wrong.

The other game is tomorrow afternoon when Seaton Rangers entertain Barrow Island, who have been showing signs of hitting their best run of form at the end of the season.

In the National League Premier Division Wath Brow Hornets are at home to third-placed Hunslet ARLFC, a tough test but they will be extra keen to get back in the winning groove after last week’s narrow home defeat to Wigan St Jude’s.

In Division One leaders Kells will definitely want to consolidate their position as they travel to the bottom side Oldham St Anne’s who have only won twice in 14 games so far.

Egremont Rangers – ahead at half-time against Kells last week, before being well beaten in the second-half, have an opportunity to make amends when they host Shaw Cross Sharks at Gillfoot.

The visitors are three points behind Egremont but do have a game in hand.

There’s one game tonight in the Cumbria Men’s League Premier Division with Flimby Vikings entertaining Kells A.

There is one other Premier Division game tomorrow in which Cockermouth Titans host Lowca.

Roose Pioneers were due to entertain Wath Brow A but it has been postponed and will be played at a future date.

In Division One Hensingham A are at home to leaders Aspatria Hornets.
