
A man has been seriously injured following a robbery on a Carlisle street.
Cumbria police said the man, in his 20s, was assaulted and his phone stolen during the robbery in the area of Myddleton Street, which happened at around 6am today.
The victim was taken to the city’s Cumberland Infirmary for treatment to a serious head injury.
One of the offenders is described as a man, aged 30 to 40, bald and was wearing a light-coloured top and black shorts.
Detectives said enquiries were continuing to establish the full circumstances of the incident and trace those involved.
