Cleator Moor Celtic versus Penrith is the stand-out tie in the first round draw for the Cumberland Cup.
The Inter-League clash – bringing together the North West Counties and the Northern League – has to be played by October 9 as the teams agree a date.
Holders Carlisle United have been drawn at home to Langwathby United while there’s a West Cumbrian derby in prospect with Workington Reds hosting Whitehaven Amateurs.
Carlisle City, who travel to Alston, have announced the signing of Jay Kelly who was a member of the Workington Reds squad under previous manager Danny Grainger.
He gained Northern Premier League experience with the Reds and played very well at right back as Grainger used him and Matty Clarke in that role.
