A flagship store dedicated to the world of Peter Rabbit is getting ready to open its doors this weekend.

The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction is putting the finishing touches to the Bowness-in-Windermere store, which is in the former Edinburgh Woollen Mill premises on Crag Brow.

The new shop, next to the attraction will be its large flagship store, dedicated to Peter Rabbit merchandise.

The existing smaller store will remain within the attraction building. The shop will be character themed and will provide the ultimate shopping experience for Beatrix Potter fans of all ages – with the largest range of Beatrix Potter gifts on offer in the UK.

Stacey McShane, general manager, said the new building was the “ideal location” for the Attraction’s official shop because of its place on the busy main street in Bowness.

“We are so excited to be opening our doors this weekend to offer a brilliant new shopping experience for Beatrix Potter and Peter Rabbit fans.  The opening of our new shop is the just the first phase of a bigger development that will see more retail space connecting the new shop to the adjoining attraction building.”

The first 50 customers who make a purchase in the store this weekend will receive a free medium Peter Rabbit soft toy in a souvenir gift bag.
