Carlisle City Council’s Customer Contact Centre has now opened to the public.

The customer services team is now located in a fully refurbished contact centre on the ground floor of the Civic Centre.

The opening times are:

  • Monday – Thursday: 9am – 5pm.
  • Fridays: 9am – 4pm.

The new customer entrance is located at the front of the building on Rickergate. Due to ongoing landscaping works, access by approaching the entrance from Hardwicke Circus. People are asked to follow the signs.

Carlisle City Council says “every effort has been made to ensure customer and staff safety when visiting the contact centre, therefore it is advised that customers continue to wear a face covering and use the hand sanitiser provided. Customers are advised not to visit the contact centre if they have tested positive or are showing symptoms of coronavirus.

“Some services may be delivered differently as we continue to adapt to our new working environment.”

Cllr Elizabeth Mallinson, portfolio holder for communities, health and wellbeing said: “Our customer services team has done an excellent job supporting our communities through extremely challenging times. Working from their homes, they have continued to take phone enquiries and respond to online messages.

“Following the refurbishment of the Civic Centre’s ground floor, we are now able to offer even greater support from our new Customer Contact Centre. Works are still continuing on the Civic Centre, but customers can now make a visit and speak to our advisors face-to-face.”
