
Two men who were arrested in Ireland as part of a Carlisle murder probe are yet to be brought back to England.
It was revealed on Tuesday that two men from north Cumbria had been arrested in the Republic of Ireland as part of a major investigation into the murder of Carlisle man Ryan Kirkpatrick.
The two men, who were arrested on suspicion of murder, remain in custody in the Republic of Ireland, it can now be revealed.
It comes as officers investigating the attack outside Mamoa Bar and Lounge in Carlyle’s Court in Carlisle city centre shortly after 8.30pm on September 18 made their eighth arrest in connection with the incident.
