Popular tourist attraction the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway will be out of action for several days due to a landslip caused by extreme weather.
The narrow gauge railway, known as the La’al Ratty, will not be running any trains until at least Saturday, October 9.
A spokesman said: “Our track gang are on site assessing the damage. We will announce any service updates as soon as we have them.
“To all customers that have pre booked tickets and experiences, please bear with us.
“The office will be contacting you personally so please do not ring us as the lines will be very busy and we might be trying to ring you. We apologise for the inconvenience.”
They added that its cafes will remain open at Ravenglass and Dalegarth stations.
