Two of the north of England’s most prestigious names in food – multi-Michelin star chef Simon Rogan and award-winning family food retailer Booths – have joined forces to create a range of unique and seasonally inspired recipe boxes.

Designed with the home cook in mind, the Let’s Cook recipe boxes contain premium ingredients specially selected by Simon Rogan’s team of chefs from Booths’ trusted producers.

They will be exclusively available at Booths supermarkets, including Keswick and Penrith, and in selected Amazon Fresh postcodes.

The simple menu boxes contain easy to follow instructions, a step-by-step video delivered by Simon Rogan and a little bottle of “chef magic” from the Rogan kitchens, designed to elevate each cook-at-home dish to the next level.

Each recipe uses only the very best seasonal ingredients, sourced where possible from across northern England, including several producers based in the Cumbrian countryside, the home of Simon Rogan’s Lake District restaurants L’Enclume, Rogan & Co, Aulis and Henrock.

This allows the home cook to create deliciously tasty meals in the comfort of their own kitchens.

Simon Rogan said: “Lockdown really challenged our development team to start thinking creatively about our business and the pause offered a bit of time to appreciate what was on our doorstep, Booths came pretty high on our list.

“The quality and range of locally grown produce available every day in store makes Booths a chef’s larder.

“We have a shared ethos of sourcing and sharing the very best food and drink the region has to offer.

“This natural affinity underpins our collaboration and is testament to the strength of shared values and commitment to delivering the very best quality.”

John Gill, of Booths, said: “These boxes are all about inspiration and expertise.

“Simon and his chefs shop at Booths regularly and they approached us to partner together offering something that is a step up from what’s on the market.

“The Simon Rogan Let’s Cook boxes are seasonally inspired, expertly sourced and simplified for you to cook at home.”

“When we were developing the recipes, we had a series of store visits together.

“How a chef views a supermarket range is a bit like seeing a picture through an artist’s eye, they illuminate and transform what’s on the shelf.

“The wonderful thing about these menus is they are very much Simon Rogan’s exquisite food, made at home with Booths produce.”

The menus combine the very best produce alongside a cookery lesson underpinned by the skill and artistry of one of the world’s finest chefs.

The Simon Rogan Let’s Cook boxes serve enough for two generous portions and are available for pre-order from the Booths website for in store collection on October 7.

They will also be available in selected Amazon Fresh postcodes from early this month.

The menus will change seasonally.
