A Kendal man has heard he could be given a prison sentence for cannabis supply crimes.
Twenty-year-old Jakub Grochala entered guilty pleas to two offences when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court.
Grochala admitted supplying class B drug cannabis to another between June 1 and December 31 last year and to the possession of criminal property — money — on New Year’s Eve.
During an earlier magistrates’ court hearing, Grochala had also admitted two other crimes. These were possessing cannabis with intent to supply, and the simple possession of the class A psychedelic substance, psilocin.
The court heard Grochala had no previous convictions. His case was adjourned for the preparation of a probation service pre-sentence report.
“The fact you have pleaded guilty today will afford you credit (discount) at the time of sentence,” he was told by Judge Nicholas Barker.
Grochala is due to receive his punishment at the crown court on November 1 and was granted bail in the meantime. But he was urged not to draw any conclusions from the fact he was being bailed, or that a pre-sentence report was being ordered.
“All sentencing options remain open,” said Judge Barker.
