A Cumbrian cellist is to take part in an online music competition.
Voting closes for the WorldVision International Music Contest on Sunday.
Sarah Gait, who lives near Hesket Newmarket, said: “I’m taking part in the WorldVision International Music Contest, an online competition that offers prizes such as grants to study with some of the leading international musicians. Audience voting closes this Sunday, and I’m aiming to reach the maximum of 500 votes to boost my chances in the competition, so I would love if you could donate two minutes of your time to support a local cellist.
“It’s completely free for anyone to register and vote, and your support would mean so much to me. You can vote for me on my competition profile, and also watch my competition video, a completely live improvisation. For anyone who wants to go the extra mile, there’s also an option to donate or to share with your friends! Thank you so much for the support!”
