Traders who intimidated and assaulted a homeowner after carrying out work at their property are wanted by police.

Following a dispute over payment, the Wigton resident was confronted by three men at around 2pm on October 13.

The resident was not injured and police have now launched an investigation.

The men are white and described as being aged between 30 and 40 years old.

One is described as stocky with short, cropped, dark hair. Another is described as very slim with untidy brown hair and a goatee beard. All were wearing workwear clothing.

The three men had Irish accents and arrived at the location in three blue Toyota vans with Irish number plates.

Police are appealing for information from people who may have seen the suspects and may be able to help clarify their identities.

Officers said they were keen to speak to people who may also have employed the services of the suspects at their homes on or around the October 13.

Anyone with information relating to this incident can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit, quoting incident number 91 of 13 October. You can also phone on 101. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
