Plans have been revealed for a new beer garden at a pub in Carlisle.
The Gosling Bridge Inn on Kingstown Road has submitted an application to Carlisle City Council to turn part of their car park into a beer garden area with a new covered pergola.
The applications states that the proposals are “a direct response to the recent COVID-19 pandemic and the need to provide covered outdoor seating areas and generally enhanced external spaces” and “to meet the changing demand of customers, many of whom, prefer outdoor dining at the present time”.
The proposed beer garden would be situated on the south side of the property.
Seven car parking spaces would be lost if the plans were to go ahead.
The application was submitted on October 8 and will now be considered by Carlisle City Council planners.
