Barrow’s Dimitri Sea suffers setback

French forward Dimitri Sea has suffered another setback after a brief appearance for Barrow on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old Paris-born Sea returned from the bench during Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Scunthorpe United but has suffered a recurrence of his hamstring problem and is back receiving treatment.

After a lay-off he had been passed to fit for the visit of the League Two strugglers but now faces another spell on the side-lines.

Sea spent nearly three years with the Aston Villa Academy before joining Barrow last year and featured 10 times for the Bluebirds.

Manager Mark Cooper will now be checking on Connor Brown, Jamie Devitt and Luke James who have all returned to training recently and are intent on building their fitness for a return to match action.

Tom Beadling, Mike Jones and Matt Platt have also been back outside doing pitch work after injury but Kgosi Ntlhe receiving treatment for a knee problem.

Barrow visit Walsall on Saturday where manager Matt Taylor has expressed his pleasure at the spirit his side showed during their midweek win over Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park.

It’s left him with the old adage to consider – Never change a winning team –  but new signing Otis Khan will hope to be in contention for a home debut after being named among the substitutes at Oldham on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has plenty of League experience with Yeovil, Mansfield and Tranmere after starting his career at Sheffield United.
