A car abandoned in a Cumbrian river after four people were rescued from it has now been towed to safety.
Emergency services, including firefighters, the North West Ambulance Service and police were called to the river by Jubilee Bridge in Appleby at around 12.40pm on Friday.
Firefighters from Appleby, who are water first responder trained, freed the people trapped in the car.
The car was removed yesterday.
