
Six people and two dogs were saved from floodwater in two rescues by firefighters in Cumbria.
Three fire engines were first called to Fernleigh Close, Tallentire, near Cockermouth, at 1.41pm on Thursday.
Two people were stuck in a vehicle in floodwater. Firefighters were at the scene for 25 minutes.
At 11.48am the following morning, three fire engines attended Causeway at Haverthwaite. Using a boat firefighters rescued four casualties and two dogs from two vehicles stuck in floodwater.
Crews were at the scene for more than an hour.
