A casualty was taken to A&E in Barrow after they were rescued from a property.
At 9.36pm on Thursday, a fire engine was called to Athol Street to help ambulance crews extricate a casualty from a building.
Once the casualty was extricated, he was then taken to the accident and emergency department at Furness General Hospital.
Firefighters were at the scene for one hour and 10 minutes.
