Kendal Town have appointed a former player, Warren Beattie as their new manager at Parkside Road.
Beattie will be joined by another ex-Kendal player, David Woodruff as his number while interim manager Jordan Scott is to stay on at the club.
After the appointment Beattie said: “I am absolutely delighted to be appointed manager of Kendal Town Football club.
“This is a great opportunity and the one thing you will get from myself and David is 100% effort and commitment.
“We are winners and we will get the winning mentality back to this great club.”
New chairman Michael O’Neill said: “Warren and David are superb appointments for the club.
“We would like to publicly thank Jordan Scott for his work during the last few weeks and we are delighted that he is going to stay at the club.”
Beattie was a central mid-fielder who started his career with Preston North Endan and while there had loans spells at Kendal in October 2006 and Hednesford in February 2007.
He had ten years at Deepdale and was captain of the reserves, although making the bench was as close as he got to a League outing.
After dropping out of the pro game he had a spell in Australia and has also played with Kendal (three different spells, captain in the third) and has also played for Bamber Bridge, AFC Fylde, Ashton United, Northwich Victoria and Nelson.
He has been working as assistant coach with Barnoldswick in the North West Counties League.
