A man has died after a tree fell on him during the storm in Ambleside.
Emergency services were called to Vicarage Road at 11pm yesterday.
The man, from Lancaster, died at the scene.
Police and partner agencies are currently still at the scene as the tree remains dangerous and people are asked to avoid the area until the tree has been made safe.
