Cumbrian roads still closed following Storm Arwen

A number of routes in west and south Cumbria remain closed this evening due to fallen trees.

Cumbria County Council say teams are working throughout the night to reopen the roads as quickly as possible.

The following roads remain shut:

West

  • U7003 West side of Thirlmere
  • Corney fell from A595 to Duddon Bridge
  • Newlands Pass

South

  • Brow Foot, Crook
  • Crook Road, Kendal
  • Hawkshead to Lakeside
  • Sunhill Lane, Troutbeck
  • Under Loughrigg, Ambleside
  • Brackenghyll Lane, Sedbergh
  • Oakbank Farm, Sedbergh
  • Clawthorpe Lane, Burton
  • Lickbarrow Road, Windermere
  • Heights Road, Cartmel
