
Two 21-year-olds have appeared in court charged with grievous bodily harm after an alleged attack on a man in Whitehaven.
Benn MacLennan and Antony Shearer faced magistrates in Workington yesterday charged with unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily harm to a man with intent to do him grievous bodily harm.
The alleged offence is said to have taken place on April 12.
No pleas were entered during the hearing.
Shearer, of Amersham Place in Newcastle, and MacLennan, of Siskin Drive in Corbridge, Northumberland, were granted unconditional bail ahead of their trial at Carlisle Crown Court on January 4.
