A casualty was treated for smoke inhalation after their washing machine caught fire near Whitehaven yesterday.
Fire crews were called to tackle the blaze and when they arrived found it well alight. A person, suffering smoke inhalation, had to be given oxygen.
Two fire engines attended the property, at Pica at around 12.10pm and were in attendance for about 45 minutes.
