Haven’s new 2022 home strip

After releasing their squad numbers, Whitehaven have now revealed the team’s home shirt for the 2022 season.

A spokesman said: “The new shirts are from APX Sports and the design is a modern classic on the traditional home shirt with the chocolate, blue and gold banding.

“We see this as a meeting of minds between modern and traditional.”

The club say the home shirt is available to pre-order now and are expected delivery times are two to three weeks.

The first game for the Championship squad is on January 16 at Workington Town in the traditional Ike Southward Memorial Trophy game.

Haven will only be playing two warm-up matches before the opener at Leigh and are just waiting from official confirmation from the RFL that they can go ahead with the second away fixture on January 23.

Coach Jonty Gorley said: “Recently we’ve been having a couple of players a week having to isolate because of covid, but nothing that has disrupted our training.

“We can cope with this but if it gets any worse I don’t know what’s going to happen within the game as a whole.”
