Two new life-saving defibrillators have been installed in Workington.
The defibrillators, funded by Workington Town Council, have been installed at the council’s community centre building on Princess Street and at The Briery Hotel and Restaurant in Stainburn.
Cllr Paul Scott, chairman of the council’s Finance and General Purposes Committee, said: “We are delighted we have been able to fund and install two vital pieces of equipment to add to the safety of the town and our community. Thank you also to the owners of The Briery for allowing us to use their venue as a location.”
To access the defibrillators, residents need to call 999 and give their location to gain the access code.
