Search for man who verbally abused shopper in Egremont

Police are searching for a man who caused a shopper distress and alarm in Egremont.

The victim was subjected to threatening verbal abuse while putting away their shopping in their vehicle behind the King’s Arms pub on November 6 at about 7pm and 7.20pm on December 12.

Police are looking for a man who was described as white, in his early 40s, 6ft and of a large build.

He has a dark beard and a shaved head, apart from a tuft of dark hair on top.

At the time of the incident on December 17, police said, he was wearing a dark blue and crimson polo shirt with a white stripe across the centre.

It had “Kings Arms Pub est 2019” on the right sleeve. 

Officers are looking for any witnesses to this incident and to identify the suspect. Anyone with information relating to this incident please either report online at  www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit,  or by phoning 101, quoting the incident number 0240 of 18/12/21.
