Barrow hooker Nathan Mossop has been granted a 12-month testimonial by the Rugby Football League in 2022.
Mossop, who will be 34 next month, is preparing for his 13th season as a Barrow player with the club about to embark on a campaign back in the Championship.
He was an ever-present for head coach Paul Crarey in the 2021 League One title-winning season and is excited about the Raiders return to the Championship.
Mossop’s testimonial will start in February and he will be making a donation to Dementia UK when it comes to an end.
Mossop has shared on social media his thoughts on being granted the testimonial, which will start next Tuesday, February 1.
He said: “This season will be my 13th season at Barrow since signing for the club in 2009.
“Over the years, I have had some amazing times where I’ve been lucky enough to share those moments with some great friends and the best fans in the sport.
“The 2022 season will be a tough one, but one we as a club are really looking forward to. Over the next 12 months, my focus will be on helping the team be as successful as we can be.
“I’m hoping you can join me in supporting my testimonial too. There will be a number of events between now and February 2023 and I’m excited to share these with you all very soon.
“At the end of my testimonial, I will be making a donation to Dementia UK, which is a charity that I hold very closely to my heart.
“Here’s to an exciting 2022 season for the club.”
