
A 16-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a boy was stabbed at a South Cumbria school.
The 15-year-old victim was airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital on Tuesday with serious injuries after suffering multiple stab wounds on his body.
He has since been discharged the same day.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named because he is under 18, was arrested.
He has been charged overnight with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article on a school premises.
He was remanded in police custody to attend Barrow Magistrates’ Court today.
