Several incidents of anti-social behaviour took place in the Penrith area this week.

Eden police responded to a number of calls on Tuesday.

The reports included an incident on Middlegate in which an item was thrown through the open doors of a store, officers attended and carried out a search of the area.

Officers also attended Crown Street following reports of banging on a door.

A police spokeswoman said: “Officers spoke to a number of young people throughout the evening and asked those believed to be acting anti-socially to leave the area. Those identified committing offences are being spoken to.

“We know the detrimental affect these incidents have on our communities and we will take robust action against those involved in this behaviour.

And we will explore all appropriate interventions and sanctions available to address any offending.

“It’s important that the public continue to report incidents to us so that we are aware of the issues and can respond accordingly.”

Anyone with any information regarding anti-social behaviour is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
