A public consultation event will be held next month to gauge reaction about a proposal for a new parish council in Carlisle.
A petition calling for the creation of a parish council for Stanwix was presented to the city council and people now have the chance to give their views on the idea.
The event will be held on Thursday March 10 between 3pm and 7pm at Stanwix Community Centre, Church Street.
The public consultation started on February 1 and ends at 5pm on Friday March 18.
A consultation document has also been sent direct to householders in Stanwix and the background information and link to the online questionnaire is available at www.carlisle.gov.uk/stanwixcgr
