UPDATED: M6 set to reopen soon
The M6 will be closed between junctions 37 and 38 this morning following a collision.
A lorry has overturned as a result and work is ongoing to recover the vehicle.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
National Highways said the closure was expected to remain in place throughout the morning to allow for the safe recovery of the lorry.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at 5.30am, involving the lorry and a van and it damaged around 80m of the central barrier.

There was a small chlorine spillage from one of the vehicles, which has been cleared by the fire service.
The recovery of the lorry is expected to take more than three hours, and the carriageway will need to be inspected once the vehicle is back on its wheels. It is currently fully laden and the load, which has shifted, is expected to spill during the recovery process.

Road users are advised that the diversion route is off at junction 36 and back on at junction 39.
