East Farm

Two Cumbrian farms are set to go under the hammer at an auction next month.

The 253-acre East Farm, near Wigton, and the 82-acre Fowlpool Farm, near Brampton, will be sold on April 27 in Carlisle.

The livestock farms are being sold by H&H Land & Estates and are available as a whole or in lots at Borderway Mart.

On the fringe of the village of Blennerhasset, East Farm is a livestock farm, with a four-bedroom farmhouse, and a range of modern and traditional agricultural buildings. It also has a plot of land right with stone barn on the edge of the village of Blennerhasset which could be suitable for development.

The land, which has the farmhouse and outbuilding as its central focus, has ringfenced grazing and mowing land as well as arable cropping land. Buildings include loose housing, grain stores, cubicle shed, lambing shed and several smaller barns and stores.

Viewings for East Farm are strictly by appointment.

Fowlpool Farm

Fowlpool Farm

Fowlpool Farm, near Heads Nook, has an overall guide price of £990,000.

The 82-acre livestock farm with a three-bedroom farmhouse includes a range of traditional stone buildings, which offer great development potential. The available land is primarily good quality pasture and meadow land with some rough grazing and the buildings are currently suitable for stock and crop storages.

Thomas Armstrong, of H&H Land & Estates, said: “As we head into spring, we are absolutely delighted to bring to the market these two farms.

“Both are located in areas of Cumbria renowned for producing quality grass and forage, and as such tremendous livestock. On both farms the land is all in good order and in addition East House farm also benefits from some land suitable for growing crops and arable.

“I’m sure both properties will garner plenty of attention and we are looking forward to seeing a packed ring 1 come auction day!”
